Nicolette Ward
Holistic Relationship Counsellor

Together We Make It Better

Picture
HOLISTIC
Holistic counselling is a very gentle approach that helps you  make sense of what you already know, so you can gracefully empower yourself.
The difference to normal counselling is we look at ALL layers of your being  e.g. systemic (family, work or any group you belong to) and individual (spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, physiological)

EXPERIENCE
With decades of working very closely with people from every walk of life, the latest neuroscience, and access to highly experienced, broad peer network, I am able to meet you where you are at
and become a fellow traveller with you for a brief time in this journey of our lives as we search for answers and wisdom. My speciality areas are anxiety, depression, and relationships!

CLIENT SATISFACTION
My clients always note how they feel strengthened and resourced in their feedback. Firstly, I work to provide you with the exact tools  that will help you, and which are easy to learn and apply.  Secondly, I ask you the questions that will guide you to your own insights to empower you to pull yourself out of the place you find yourself in by knowing what is best for you!

PROFESSIONAL
I offer a safe, home setting for you to land, so you can focus on gaining clarity on how to free yourself from pain and suffering of relationships, anxiety and depression.
I believe in
taking the time it takes, and going the extra mile  to ensure you know you are held, that you matter, that you are respected  and most importantly, you are heard.

HOLISTIC Relationship & Couples Counselling

I focus on helping you uncover what is true for you — your own strengths, your own strategies, and your own solutions for navigating and resolving the imbalances in your life.

This empowering approach allows you to implement what works best for your unique situation, without feeling forced or simply following generic advice. The goal is to facilitate a natural shift in perspective, so that when challenges arise, you find yourself responding with a newfound, resilient mindset.

Our work goes beyond surface-level symptoms, offering a comfortable space for exploration where you can discover alternatives and insights you may not have previously considered.

By looking holistically at all layers of your life, I support you as you strengthen your reasoning and decision-making skills to manage anxiety, address depression, and rebuild meaningful relationships. Developing these tools empowers you to take intentional action, helping you cultivate your own internal strength, practical strategies, increased independence, and sustainable self-esteem.

No issue is off-limits—this is a dedicated, secure space where you can explore openly and exploratively. Contact me today or book a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation via my website to see how we can work together.

RELATIONSHIP Counselling

Relationships are tricky most of the time. They can be in one of three states - functioning, breaking or broken.
Counselling is a way for you to turn towards issues that cause you suffering with the guidance of an objective point of view that asks the right questions for you to reveal the answers you need.
Counselling can pro-actively help you improve relationships that seem flat, uninspired or dull. When things go awry, counselling can help
re-establish happy, healthy and functioning relationships.
If we are not mindful of our relationships, break-ups and conflict can seem to come out of nowhere. We usually address it from a 'needs' perspective. When needs are not satisfied, there is a tendency to develop intense feelings. To bottle up is not healthy, and can only make matters worse. Addressing them with someone who can help you navigate these feelings can bring relief, and new ways of being in your relationships that bring about lasting change.
My specialist areas include love, sex and relationships, abuse, anxiety and depression.

Relationship WARNING SIGNS

Even the strongest relationships can go through phases that require a proactive tune-up. Recognizing the early warning signs of relational strain allows partners to address underlying issues constructively before they deepen.
Common indicators that a relationship could benefit from professional guidance include:
  • Interactions that consistently feel emotionally draining or involve repetitive conflict.
  • Persistent feelings of fatigue, resentment, dissatisfaction, or a lack of fulfillment.
  • A noticeable shift in intimacy, physical connection, or sexual desire.
  • Experiencing a desire to escape the dynamic, or feeling profoundly trapped and distressed.
  • Compulsive habits or substance dependencies that create strain on the partnership.
If these patterns resonate with your current relationship dynamic, prioritizing support is a constructive step forward. Flexible online sessions and convenient after-hours appointments are available to suit your schedule. Feel free to reach out today to book a consultation.

ANXIETY & DEPRESSION Counselling

Both anxiety and depression can manifest as acute, short-term responses to life stressors or develop into chronic, long-term challenges. Utilizing a multi-layered, holistic approach, we work together to understand where these feelings originate. Often, emotional distress is tied to internal states whose exact causes are not immediately obvious, making professional exploration a valuable tool.

Potential Roots of Emotional Distress
Anxiety and depression can stem from a complex combination of life experiences, systemic factors, and environmental influences, including:
  • Developmental or systemic trauma
  • Significant life events or past trauma
  • Social interactions and interpersonal stress
  • Family dynamics and generational systems
  • Physiological factors, including substance use or dependency
  • Cultural or societal expectations
  • Environmental and daily stressors
  • Workplace pressure or professional burnout
  • Experiences with bullying or social isolation

Your Path Toward Recovery and Well-Being
If you are experiencing the weight of anxiety or depression, you do not have to navigate these challenges alone. Prioritizing your mental health by seeking professional guidance is an impactful first step.

There are many effective, evidence-based therapeutic approaches available to help address these conditions. Our collaborative focus is on developing sustainable strategies to alleviate distressing symptoms in the short term, while working steadily toward long-term relief, emotional resilience, and a restored sense of peace.

Feel free to reach out today to schedule an initial consultation and begin your journey toward lasting well-being.
